In some of the ghettos the children studied at schools organized by ghetto leaders. The teachers tried to maintain a schedule as similar as possible to that of schools before the war. The children studied from books, and even held celebrations and activities.
Here is an invitation for a party in the “Tiferet Bachorim” religious elementary school in Kaunas Ghetto. The invitation is in Hebrew. Hebrew was not the language spoken by Lithuanian Jews, but it was taught at the school.
