Yael was put in a coal sack and was ordered to lie quietly, but on the way she remembered she had forgotten her doll in the cellar. She tapped the man who was carrying her on his back, but he ignored her because he was afraid they would be discovered. Yael did not give up and started screaming and forced the man to return to her hiding place and take the doll. Fortunately, they succeeded in escaping from the ghetto.
At the end of the war Yael and her mother came to Israel, and many years later Yael gave the doll to Yad Vashem.
